With it being springtime now, consider this image: A beautiful flower has been growing in a pot for awhile.  However, it reaches the point it outgrows the pot and can no longer flourish.  Thus, the pot becomes useless for it, and the flower requires transplantation.  This process is similar to that of organ donation.  As an individual’s body is entering and proceeding through the dying process, the organs require a living soul in order to continue functioning properly.  Let us remember then that, in order for the springtime of the Lord’s creation to occur, the processes of death, donation, and transplantation must occur.

Even though any change, especially that of death, may be hard for us to experience emotionally, help us to remember that another life cycle awaits just around the corner.  Amen.
